Autonomous Monitoring System for Measurement of Parameters of Heat Collection Technology at Thermal Active Mining Dumps

Abstract: The paper deals with the problems of development, construction and testing of a special autonomous system for long-term monitoring of environmental signals which are crucial for appropriate functionality of heat collection technology at thermal active mining dumps. Pilot project for heat collection are implemented at old mining dumps in Moravian-Silesian region, particularly at the Hedvika and the EMA mining dumps, as well as at the OZO municipal waste dump. The paper gives a description of autonomous system i… Show more

“…Research in the field of wireless sensor networks (WSNs) has contributed to many areas such as disaster management, automotive, infrastructure monitoring, security and surveillance, etc. In recent decades, numerous examples of the application of WSNs for environmental monitoring have emerged [1]- [3]. Environmental protection requires enormous financial resources, but potential investors do not find interest to invest since this field is not profitable at the moment.…”

“…Monitoring of intelligent environments where a large number of measured variables, static values as well as dynamic processes with different dynamics is a complicated task Pies et al (2013) and Pies et al (2014). Each variable has the ability to detune the character of the measured system and thereby put the system in a constant regulatory process or even non-controllable state (Luo et all.…”
