Automorphisms of weighted projective hypersurfaces
Louis Esser
Abstract:We prove several results concerning automorphism groups of quasismooth complex weighted projective hypersurfaces; these generalize and strengthen existing results for hypersurfaces in ordinary projective space. First, we establish a Grothendieck-Lefschetz type theorem for these hypersurfaces. We next provide a characterization of when their linear automorphism group is finite and find explicit uniform upper bounds on the size of this group. Finally, we describe the automorphisms of a generic quasismooth hypers… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
