Automatic Protection, Restoration, and Survivability of Long-Reach Passive Optical Networks

Abstract: The long-reach passive optical network (LR-PON) can potentially deliver future bandwidth intensive services to a significantly higher number of customers at a lower unit cost of bandwidth.
