Previous automatic devices for scanning paper strip chromatograms have either been of the intermittent, nonrecording type or have required the use of an automatic recording spectrophotometer. The attachment described is designed for use with a commercially available monochromator employing a stabilized light source such as the Beckman Model DU spectrophotometer.
