Abstract:Chaotic attractors are created by iterating functions that are equivariant with respect to the cyclic or dihedral groups. An improved color scheme based on the visit frequency of the pixels is proposed to render chaotic attractors. By normalization and scale transformation, aesthetic patterns which simultaneously have several kinds of cyclic or dihedral symmetries are generated. This method can be used to yield a great number of aesthetic patterns automatically.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
