1.CAD/CAM, Sculptured-surface machining, Cutting Force Tool path generation for sculptured surface machining and computer aided process modelling has been an active area of research for the past few decades. The next development stage is to integrate the two research themes to improve the final product quality. This paper gives some insight into the anticipated difficulties and the problems which must be solved in order to achieve this goal. The research was conducted based on a case study in which the geometric modeller for sculptured surfaces and the system of cutting force calculations were integrated. One merit gained is that the tool deflection was predicted and compensated for during the tool path generation phase. As a result, a more accurate machined surface was obtained.
