Diagnosis of glioma is based on histological evaluation of pathological cell features and some molecular markers. Gliomas are infiltrated by myeloid cells that accumulate preferentially in malignant tumors and their abundance inversely correlates with survival, which is of interest for cancer immunotherapies.
