A response by Gronlund et al [2] very adroitly addressed several of the concerns of Dahan and Shoenfeld by undertaking re-analysis of their data. However, there are a number of aspects of the correspondence which were not addressed, including insufficient declarations of conflict of interest.…”

“…Drs Dahan and Shoenfeld wrote at length about the possibility of Autoimmune Syndrome Induced by Adjuvants (ASIA) as a result of vaccination. Gronlund et al [2] highlighted the issues with the reliance on VAERS reporting data as evidence of this syndrome. We have previously published a systematic review of ASIA and found that the clinical diagnostic criteria lack a requirement for a temporal association between exposure and the onset of symptoms [5].…”
