Examples such as The Concert Programmes Project (Ridgewell, 2010) and Concert Life in Nineteenth-Century London Database (Dix, Cowgill, Bashford, McVeigh, & Ridgewell, 2014) show the enormous advantages of these datasets for research into musical cultures and practices. In the meanwhile, the performance history of various prominent opera houses such as the London Royal Opera House, Paris Opéra Comique, and Prague National Theatre has been made available in digital form.…”
