Abstract:Fifty-nine patients who presented in the Casualty and O.P.D of department of General Surgery of NKPSIMS & RC &LMH with diagnosis of perforation peritonitis over a study period of one and half years were included. In most of the cases diagnosis was made by clinical examination supplemented by investigations in the form of standing X-ray chest PA view with domes of diaphragm, Ultrasound abdomen and blood test.
