“…A significant decrease in thermal stability was found for DAS at 200 °C. It is attributed to the destroyed crystals of potato starch by oxidizing reaction, which was consistent with the result in the literature 24 . Compared with DAS, the thermal stabilities of DASD5‐A, DAS‐NH 2 , and DAS2‐AT were slightly enhanced.…”

“…Figure 2(a) displays the FT‐IR spectra of potato starch, DAS, DASD5‐A, DAS‐NH 2 , and DAS2‐AT. In the FT‐IR spectrum of potato starch, the characteristic peaks appearing at 3413 cm −1 , 2927 cm −1 , and 998 cm −1 were assigned to the vibrations of OH, CH, and CO bonds, respectively 24 . After oxidation of potato starch, the stretching vibrations of the CO bond at 1733 cm −1 was clearly observed in the FT‐IR spectrum of DAS.…”

“…Compared with the previously reported kinds of literature, HEDP/ATMP‐MWCNTs have the advantages of simple preparation and high adsorption performance. For example, the adsorption capacity of HEDP‐MWCNTs for lead ions is higher those (44.44 mg/g, 83.20 mg/g) reported in [40–41], and the adsorption capacity of ATMP‐MWCNTs for gold ions is higher the data (298.5 mg/g) reported in [42]. The above‐mentioned research results show that HEDP‐MWCNTs/ATMP‐MWCNTs is very favourable for the removal of lead/gold ions, and the excellent adsorption properties make them good promising candidate materials for the removal of Pb(II)/Au(III).…”

“…Meanwhile, the adsorption for other metal ions is almost zero in the whole experimental range, and this is mainly because the form of Au(III) in acid solution is anionic AuCl 4 − [ 31 ]. However, some coexisting metal ions, such as Cu(II), Zn(II), and Ni(II), exhibit electrical neutrality or positively [ 33 , 34 ]. Furthermore, the adsorbent modified by organic amine will be positively charged by protonated in an acidic solution.…”
