Abstract:BJORNAL 1593 only one survivor has been reported from haemorrhage into the peritoneal cavity. Several surgical operations have been tried for this condition,3 such as excision of the aneurysm followed either by end-to-end suture of the hepatic artery or by anastomosis of the proximal end of the splenic artery (after splenectomy) with the distal end of the hepatic artery. We are grateful to Mr. J. Withycombe for permission to publish this case.-We are, etc., T. F. MORTIMER.
