Atypical mode of COVID-19 transmission: possibility?

Abstract: Transmission via breast milk Infantile COVID-19 has already been recognized. How infants are infected is an interesting question, and in particular, the possibility of COVID-19 transmission via breast milk is an compelling topic in clinical neonatology. As discussed with vertical transmis-Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a new emerging pandemic, which has so far infected more than 20 million people throughout the world. “…From a transmission point of view, this is primarily realized through the Flügge droplets [ 10 ], through infectious saliva or secretions, through nasal or oral contact with contaminated hands [ 11 ] and to a lesser extent via aerosols [ 12 ]. Further, the capacity of the novel Coronavirus to be easily spread even by asymptomatic carriers represents another challenge in effectively combating the spread of the disease [ 13 ].…”

“…There are high chances of getting infected by coming closer to the vicinity of an infected person or touching the mouth, nose, or eyes after touching a contaminated surface [21] , [22] , [23] . The studies describing the pathophysiological behavior of COVID-19 have considerable doubt about its spread mechanism [24] , [25] . The present information is primarily derived from related coronaviruses spread by respiratory formative from human-to-human [26] , [27] .…”

“…The COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in millions of deaths worldwide and widespread severe social disruption [1][2][3]. Although the routes of transmission of the causative virus (severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2, SARS-CoV-2) were initially debated [4][5][6][7], the current scientific consensus is that the primary route is via airborne droplets and aerosols produced in the upper respiratory tract of those infected [8][9][10].…”
