Atypical lobular hyperplasia: what we need to know

Romuald Ferre,
Cherie M. Kuzmiak

Abstract: Atypical lobular hyperplasia (ALH) is defined as an epithelial proliferation that does not meet the qualitative or quantitative abnormalities to be classified as ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS). ALH is part of the high-risk lesions, subclassified among the lobular neoplasia. This review provides the characteristics of ALH, focusing on the imaging appearance. In addition, current outcomes and updated management are reviewed.
