Atom economy and green elimination of nitric oxide using ZrN powders

Abstract: Nitric oxide (NO) may cause serious environmental problems, such as acid rain, haze weather, global warming and even death. Herein, a new low-cost, highly efficient and green method for the elimination of NO using zirconium nitride (ZrN) is reported for the first time, which does not produce any waste or any by-product. Relevant experimental parameters, such as reaction temperature and gas concentration, were investigated to explore the reaction mechanism. Interestingly, NO can be easily decomposed into nitrog… Show more

“…The competitive effect between H + and Cd(II) was weaker at pH 5, thus the adsorption sites of the amine groups on the APAN‐15 nanofiber membrane increased. [ 44 ] As a result, more Cd(II) could be adsorbed by the APAN‐15 nanofiber membrane. However, the adsorption of the APAN‐15 nanofiber membrane decreased at pH > 5.5, which is attributed to the hydrolysis formed by Cd(II) and OH − at high pH values.…”
