The location may appear to be extremely important due to changes of some factors. Administrative division expansion of Hefei in August 2011 will affect its location advantage and accessibility. In this paper, updated data of the study area were collected including administrative division, transportation network and economic data, by using GIS spatial analysis methods and establishing the economic potential model, quantitatively evaluated the location advantage and accessibility of Hefei before and after the administrative area adjustment, and analyzed the economic relationship change between Wanjiang urban belt cities and Nanjing based on the gravity model. The results show that Hefei occupies the highest accessibility while Maanshan, Chuzhou and Wuhu comparatively rank behind before the administrative division adjustment, and the descending order is Maanshan, Hefei, Chuzhou and Wuhu after the administrative division adjustment. Although the location advantages of Hefei relatively reduced, the economic relationship have been further enhanced on the regional level, which played an important role in formation of the industrial cluster in Wanjiang urban belt and enhancing regional competitiveness, for easy integration into the Pan-Yangtze River Delta city group and promoting regional economic development in Anhui Province.

Acceptorless and Base‐Free Dehydrogenation of Alcohols and Amines using Ruthenium‐Hydride Complexes

An efficient, operatively simple, acceptorless, and base-free dehydrogenation of secondary alcohols and nitrogen-containing heterocyclic compounds was achieved by using readily available ruthenium hydride complexes as precatalysts. The complex RuH 2 (CO)A C H T U N G T R E N N U N G (PPh 3 ) 3 (1) and Shvos complex (2) showed excellent activities for the dehydrogenation of secondary alcohols and nitrogen containing heterocycles. In addition to complexes 1 and 2, the complex RuH 2 A C H T U N G T R E N N U N G (PPh 3 ) 4 (3) also showed moderate to excellent activity for the acceptorless dehydrogenation of nitrogen-containing heterocyclic compounds. Kinetic studies on the oxidation reaction of 1-phe-nylethanol using complex 1 were carried out in the presence and the absence of external triphenylphosphine (PPh 3 ). External addition of PPh 3 had a negative influence on the rate of the reaction, which suggested that dissociation of PPh 3 occurred during the course of the reaction. Hydrogen was evolved from the oxidation reaction of 1-phenylethanol by using 1 mol% of 1 (88%) and 2 (92%), which demonstrated the possible usage of the catalytic systems in hydrogen generation.

Efficient Synthesis of Succinimide from Succinic Anhydride in Water over Unsupported Nanoporous Nickel Material

The synthesis of succinimide from succinic anhydride (SA) in water over unsupported nanoporous nickel material (NiNPore) is investigated for the first time. As a result, NiNPore exhibited efficient catalytic performance for the conversion of SA into succinimide and gave 93% isolated yield. Recycling study indicated that NiNPore could be reused at least three times and still kept good catalytic activity for the transformation. Moreover, the conversion of glutaric anhydride (GA) could also proceed well into glutarimide at optimal conditions, and provided 71% isolated yield. The result indicated that SA was the main reactant rather than succinic acid in water. This work provides a promising strategy for the conversion of SA into succinimide in water.
