Asystole during Onyx embolization of 64-year-old patient with dural arteriovenous fistula

Abstract: Asystole or bradycardia is a relatively uncommon side effect seen in patients undergoing endovascular embolization using dimethylsulfoxide based liquid embolic agents. We present a case of a patient who underwent dural arteriovenous fistula embolization and experienced bradycardia during Onyx injection but was stabilized and the procedure was completed successfully.
