The basic configuration for CRISTA 2 was the same as for CRISTA 1 but during the second flight the outstanding maneuvering capability of the Astronomical Shuttle Pallet Satellite (ASTRO‐SPAS) carrier [ Wattenbach and Moritz , 1997] was used to extend the latitudinal coverage of the measurements.
