Abstract:We propose an astigmatism correction method for the subaperture stitching Hindle test to measure hyperbolic convex aspheres. Astigmatic wavefront errors arise from misaligned Hindle setups, mechanical runout errors of the rotational motion for stitching, and the surface error of the target itself.
