Abstract:The article is devoted to the assortment analysis of 5-aminosalicylic acid drugs used for the treatment of mild and moderate ulcerative colitis. A brief description of dosage forms for oral and rectal administration used for the treatment of this disease is given. It is shown that therapeutic efficacy of the drug is associated with the concentration of the active substance in the large intestine.
