Abstract:Associative operations are effectively used to solve such application problems as sorting, searching for certain features, and identifying extreme (maximum/minimum) elements in data sets. Thus, determining the maximum number as a result of sorting a numerical array is an acceptable operation in implementing the competition mechanism in neural networks. In addition, determining the average number in a numerical series by sorting significantly speeds up the process of median filtering of images and signals. In t… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
