Background Coronary atherosclerosis and periodontal disease, due to their prevalence, are a serious epidemiological problem. Pathophysiological evidence points to their possible common inflammatory etiopathological background. The aim of the study was to analyze the relationship between the presence and severity of periodontitis, systemic inflammation and selected parameters of myocardial injury and heart function in patients with acute myocardial infarction. Methods The study group consisted of 71 patients 54.22(7.05) - year - old hospitalized due to acute myocardial infarction. The patients underwent a coronary angiographic examination and echocardiography. The following laboratory parameters were determined: blood morphology, hsCRP, ESR, fibrinogen, troponin I, CK-MB, BNP, lipidogram, glucose, creatinine, GFR, TSH, HbA1c. Dental assessment of the patients was performed and the following indicators were included: the number of teeth preserved, approximal plaque index (API), bleeding on probing (BoP), pocket depth (PD), the number of bleeding periodontal pockets ≥ 4 mm in depth (NoPD≥4 mm), the percentage of bleeding periodontal pockets ≥ 4 mm in depth (%PD≥4 mm), clinical attachment loss (CAL). The control consisted of 40 patients 52 (± 8.43)- year-old without a history of coronary heart disease. These patients were subjected to a periodontal examination using the above parameters and classification methods. Results The BI (bleeding index) significantly correlated with fibrynogen. All indices regarding the pocket depth (PD, NoPD≥4mm,% PD4≥mm) correlated significantly with the number of leukocytes. PD and NoPD≥4mm were also associated significantly with the level of hsCRP. The BI is correlated closely with the levels of BNP. The multifactorial analysis showed that significant predictors of myocardial infarction are API and BI. The analysis showed that API and BI are important predictors of troponin levels. Linear regression analysis showed that only CAL is a significant predictor of BNP. Conclusions Patients with acute myocardial infarction have worse periodontal status compared to people without coronary heart disease. Higher severity of periodontal disease, poorer oral hygiene and increased activity of the periodontitis leads to greater manifestation of systemic inflammation in patients with acute myocardial infarction. Periodontitis is a risk factor for myocardial infarction and also affects the degree of post-infarction left ventricular damage, which means that there is an inflammatory link between these two diseases.

Background: Coronary heart disease (CHD) is one of the leading causes of disability and death worldwide. In the pathogenesis of CHD, inflammatory cytokines take an essential part. This study was designed to detect the potential association between IL-9, IL-2RA and IL-2RB variants and CHD in Chinese Han population. Methods: This case-control study conducted 499 CHD patients and 496 healthy controls. Seven selected SNPs were genotyped to investigate the possible association between the polymorphisms and the CHD risk. The interaction of SNP-SNP in the CHD risk was analyzed by Multifactor dimensionality reduction (MDR). Results: We observed an association between IL-9 rs55692658 (OR = 1.72, p = 0.003) and the increased CHD risk. The stratification analysis by age indicated that no matter participants who were older or younger than 61 years, IL-9 rs55692658 and IL-2RB rs1573673 contributed to the CHD susceptibility significantly (p < 0.05, respectively). IL-9 rs55692658 showed an increasing-risk effect (OR = 2.32, p = 0.003), while IL-2RA rs12722498 was correlated with the decreased susceptibility of CHD (OR = 0.54, p = 0.033) in female. Furthermore, IL-2RA rs12569923 was related to the diabetes risk in the CHD patients (OR = 1.50, p = 0.028). MDR analysis revealed a positive interaction between the SNPs. Conclusion: The present study firstly demonstrated that IL-9 rs55692658，IL-2RA rs12569923, rs12722498 and IL-2RB rs3218264 polymorphisms might be related to CHD. The results required further validation by larger studies.

Cardiac arrest is triggered by an electrical malfunction in the heart and its pumping action is disrupted. Periodontal diseaseis an inflammatory disease of tissues that hold the teeth wherein, there is gradual destruction of tissues and subsequent loss of teeth. These two are interrelated and here, prediction is to prevent the disease occurrence in advance before it arise and create treatment strategies for future prevention of the disease.Prediction of cardiac arrest from periodontal dental disease is done using Artificial intelligence in cloud. Artificial intelligence is the “study and design of intelligent agents” where an intelligent agent is a system that perceives its surroundings and adapts to make the best probable action to Maximise the probability of success.. This paper highlights latest studies regarding implemented techniques such as diagnosis of Periodontal Dental Disease for all age group people, smokers and drunken people, risk assessment of periodontal dental disease for all age group people, heart disease prediction system, and heart rate monitoring using emotional intelligence.
