This study examins the research trends of adverse childhood experiences(ACE) published in Korean jornals. To this end, we collected domestic research on ACE and analyzed the general characterisics of research population, terminalolgy of ACE, and research variables realted to ACE based on the collected data to examine the characterisics and trend of current Korean ACE research. The systematic literature review method was used to collect data. In domestic data (DBpia, KCI, KISS, RISS), we searched for the Korean keywords "childhood adverse experiences", "childhood adverse life experiences", "childhood hardship experiences" and the Enlish keyword"adverse childhood experiences" among domestic articles published from 2016 to 2023. Based on the analysis of the final 26 resarch articles, the number of ACE studies in Korea has steadily increased since 2018. Adults (11 studies) and adolescents (9 studies) were the most common study populations, with the majority of articles published in welfare-related academic journals (17 studies). The Korean terminology "adverse childhood experiences"(8 studies) was the most commonly used term for ACE, and the most frequently used measurement tools was the traditional ACE scale (15 studies). There were 7 studies related to ACE prevalence and types, and 14 studies related to mental health-related variables. Based on the results of this study, we suggest implications for ACE research in Korea.
