Association of Protein Tyrosine Phosphatase Non-receptor, Type 22 (PTPN22) C1858T Polymorphism with Type 1 Diabetes in North India: A Replication Study

Abstract: Objective: Type 1 diabetes (T1D) is a multifactorial autoimmune disorder where several genes have been associated with the disease. While the major histocompatibility complex has been shown to be the major locus, contributions of other loci in different combinations seem to have synergistic effects.
