Abstract: Thyroid hormones play an important role in regulating metabolism. A large body of literature suggests an increased risk of developing metabolic syndrome (MS) in individuals with hypothyroidism, but little data exists on the effects of high-normal levels of thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) on metabolism.Material and methods.
