Association of Molecules in p-Azoxyanisole

Abstract: 0.6L 0.4- 0.2- O LIt has been shown that based on density values in a temperature range 100-144 "C, the specific heats and transition enthalpy of p-azoxyanisole can be indirectly derived. Chemical equilibria are assumed existing between monomers and dimers both in the nematic and isotropic liquid states with appropriate equilibrium constants indicating a short-range order.
