“…Insomnia is mostly affected by uraemic toxin accumulation, anemia, pain, and psychological problems [8]. It can be also caused by restless leg syndrome and itchy skin due to uremic pruritus [9], sleep apnoea [10], as well as by insufficient control of diabetes [11]. Diabetes usually causes sleep disturbances, while sleep problems may deteriorate the control of diabetes, such as diabetic retinopathy which is negatively affected by the irregular duration of sleep [11].…”
