Association of hyperuricemia and renal involvement in type 2 diabetes mellitus

Abstract: Background: Hyperuricemia maybe an independent risk factor for renal dysfunction in diabetic patients. On the other hand, albuminuria is considered as an indicator for early stages of diabetic nephropathy.
