Association of Glycated Haemoglobin With Lipid Profile in Type 2 Diabetes Patients

Abstract: BACKGROUND Diabetes mellitus is one of the common metabolic disorders. It has become a global pandemic with prevalence in both developing and developed countries. Glycated haemoglobin (HbA1c) is used to assess long-term glycaemic control. It indicates the mean plasma glucose level over three months. Patients with type 2 diabetes have an increased prevalence of lipid abnormalities.
