Association of Apolipoprotein A5 Polymorphism -1131T>C with Dyslipidemia in Suez Canal Area

Abstract: Aim: Polymorphisms in apolipoprotein A5 gene (APOA5) have been associated with higher triglyceride levels in many populations. The aim of this study was to determine the distribution of alleles and genotypes of the apoA5-1131T>C polymorphism, as well as to show the association of the genetic variant and the risk for the development of dyslipidemia among Egyptians.
