“…Two of the studies indicated associations between ADR and HR-QoL. 20 , 22 A study reported by Sineke used the SF-36 questionnaire to investigate the mental component summary (MCS) and the physical component summary (PCS). DR-TB patients with reported ADR more likely had lower MCS (aRR 2.24 95% confidence interval (CI) 1.53–3.27) and PCS (aRR 1.52 95% CI 1.07–2.18) scores than patients who did not report ADR.…”

Surgical management of BCG vaccinerelated lymphadenitis has been reported to have fewer side effects and shorter treatment time [10,13,17,28] .…”

“…The adverse effects can affect the quality of care, but also the physical, organic integrity of patients and psycho-affective and social, directly interfering with the quality of life [4]. They can lead to major morbidity, including blindness, deafness, myelosuppression, renal failure or liver failure, resulting in hospitalization or even death, as well as treatment interruption or failure [3,5,6].…”
