Abstract: Sleep-wake regulating circuits are affected during prodromal stages in the pathological progression of both Alzheimer's disease (AD) and Parkinson's disease (PD). Assessment of 24-hour rhythm impairment may serve as an early indicator of disease and cognitive decline.
