Abstract: Background: Our aim was to determine whether early chronic methicillin-susceptible Staphylococcus aureus (MSSA) colonization in children with cystic fibrosis (CF) is associated at 8 years of age with poorer lung function, poorer nutritional status, and increased exacerbation frequency.
