Abstract:Gastric cancer (GC) is the fifth most prevalent cancer worldwide. At the same time, it is the third cause of death from cancer. This indicated the low survival rate of this cancer. This emphasizes the importance of prevention and early detection strategies. We found a positive association between dietary acid load and gastric cancer odds using a case-control design. Adherence to a healthy diet with an appropriate acid-base balance might help prevent cancer-related conditions.
