Abstract:Background. Diabetes-related distress (DRD) is a psychological syndrome with worsened prognosis in uncontrolled diabetic patients. Risk of DRD progression is increased with uncontrolled diabetes, development of complications, concomitant medical conditions, and complicated treatment regimens.
