Associated production of Higgs bosons and a photon in high-energy e+e− collisions

Abstract: We calculate the cross sections for the production of Higgs particles in association with a photon in e + e − collisions, e + e − → γ+Higgs, allowing for the longitudinal polarization of the initial electron and positron beams. We consider the associated production of both the Standard Model Higgs boson, and the neutral CP-even and CP-odd Higgs particles of its minimal supersymmetric extension. Complete and compact analytical expressions are given, and the size of the cross sections is illustrated for energies… Show more

“…These processes have been studied in the MSSM with real parameters in Refs. [25] and [17], where the full set of Feynman diagrams which contribute to these processes can be found. In both studies it was shown that the sfermion contribution to the vertices γ-Z-A 0 and Z-Z-A 0 vanishes due to the fact that (A 0f 1f * 2 ) = −(A 0f 2f * 1 ).…”

“…The importance of radiative processes led us to consider the class of decays H → ff γ, where f is a light fermion. The dominant contributions to these decays occur at the one loop level, and their calculation is related to that of the process eē → Hγ, which we recently completed [2,3].…”

“…The similar process e + e − → γA 0 was considered in Refs. [27,29,30]; however, even including the enhancement of the cross section from the contributions of light SUSY particles, this process yields too few events to be of use at either √ s = 500 or 1000 GeV. Comparing the process e + e − → W + H − to the various processes described above, we see that W + H − production is the only channel in e + e − collisions analyzed to date that yields ≥ 10 events containing charged Higgs bosons at low tan β values for m H ± ≥ √ s/2.…”
