Associated production of bottomonia and Higgs bosons at hadron colliders

Abstract: We study the associated production of bottomonia and Higgs bosons at hadron colliders within the factorization formalism of nonrelativistic quantum chromodynamics providing all contributing partonic cross sections in analytic form. While such processes tend to be suppressed in the standard model, they may have interesting cross sections in its minimal supersymmetric extension, especially at large values of tan β, where the bottom Yukawa couplings are enhanced. We present numerical results for the processes inv… Show more

“…[1] for the direct production of J/ψ + H and χ cJ + H, and obtain consistent results of the transverse momentum and rapidity distribution. Adopting the same input parameters, we obtain the total cross section of J/ψ production in associated with Higgs boson via gluon fusion at the 14 TeV LHC is about 0.02 fb, which is agree with the results shown in their another work [51]. One can see that, in this case it is difficult to detect this process at the LHC.…”

“…[90], there are contributions from resonant electroweak production from q q, production from gg in association with a g, γ, or Z, and deexcitation of gg-produced P -wave states. Production from gg in association with the Higgs is forbidden by charge conjugation invariance (as known for SM quarkonia [106,107]).…”
