Associated Endocrine Disorders in the Chronic Form of Primary Adrenocortical Failure (Addison’s Disease)

Abstract: In ‘developed’ countries, primary adrenocortical failure is usually an autoimmune disease. This explains why other endocrinopathies also of autoimmune origin can be found in the patient himself or in his family. Other associated endocrine anomalies (e.g. impaired epinephrine secretion) can be explained on a metabolic basis.
