Abstract:The cokemaking process is a complex phenomenon. The coke strength properties depend on the thermal conditions that prevail during coal carbonization to a large extent. The thermal conditions are influenced by operating parameters, viz., flue temperature, wall temperature, carbonization time, bulk density, and moisture content. The flue temperature and coking time are dependent variables with an inverse relationship. The heat required for making coke has a significant impact on the coking time and quality of th… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
