Assessment of the Thermodynamic Stability of Model Rubber-Plastic Blends

Abstract

The main trend in the development of production of rubber and plastic items is physico-chemical modification of existing polymers to create composition polymer materials. With this in mind, it is of particular interest to study the compatibility of polymers, and the mutual link between the composition of a blend of polymers and their properties. Among polymer composites, the least studied are compositions produced by high-temperature blending of rubbers and plastics.
