Abstract:Peak ground acceleration (PGA), peak ground velocity (PGV), and spectral acceleration are among the most widely used metrics to represent seismic hazard characteristics in practice. Several simplified seismic design procedures to evaluate liquefaction triggering, slope stability, or structural response have also proposed other ground motion parameters (GMPs) to represent a ground motion’s intensity, duration, and frequency content. To account for soil effects, these parameters can be obtained from the results … Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
