“…In most European countries, quarantine measures turned out to be quite strict (bans on movement and access to services, a transition to remote education, and other measures typical of a lockdown) [ 6 ]. In Belarus, unlike other countries with restrictive anti-pandemic measures, strict quarantine measures have been abandoned [ 7 , 8 ]. It was recommended in the country to maintain the previous organization of social life without serious restrictions on movement, the regime of blocking social contacts was not introduced, and the population was persistently informed about the need to comply with security measures, which was supposed to minimize panic, ease anxiety and reduce the psychological burden in society [ 9 ].…”

Research from South Asia also demonstrates a significant increase in the percentage of misogynistic tweets since 2020 ( Dehingia et al, 2021 ). Anecdotally, WiseGuyz program facilitators also have reported on the rise in popularity of figures like Andrew Tate since the pandemic, and a recalcitration of patriarchal attitudes among program participants that seemed to be declining pre-pandemic.…”

“…Athletes have had to adapt to living in isolation and to limiting their usual activities, with having uncertain prospects and anxiety about their training period, with no information about the future sports calendar, fearing infection and coping with other conditions and changes in health during the pandemic [41]. How do student athletes react, how do they live, how do they cope with the situation -these are questions that seek solutions based on objective data results [42].…”

“…Comparative studies during the implementation of various anti-pandemic measures are promising in this direction [42]. Internationally, comparisons of various anti-pandemic restrictions have been made in several countries: for example, the highly restrictive and legally enforced lockdown in Scotland and the less intrusive, required, mild one in Japan.…”
