Abstract:Background: Globus pharyngeus or feeling of a lump in the throat is a very common complaint in patients visiting the otolaryngology outpatient department. Pharmacotherapy with low dose amitriptyline has a significant effect in relieving the symptoms, although success rate varies among patients.
