Assessment of Selected Parameters of Sowing Quality of Vistula Parsley Seeds with a Precision Seed Drill with a Pneumatic Seeding System

Abstract: AbstractResults of laboratory tests on the sowing quality of Vistula parsley seeds with a working section of a seed drill by Weremczuk company Max Pneumatic S 156 model with a pneumatic sowing system were presented. Tests of the sowing section of a seed drill were carried out in laboratory conditions on a special stand. They showed that the seed drill speed and rotations of the sowing disc have a significant impact on the sowing quality expressed with participation of single, d… Show more

“…However, there is no local production of such machines, while many different pneumatic seeders are produced abroad. They provide accurate seeds sowing at a given depth in a row method [5][6][7][8][9][10][11][12]. But foreign samples are complex in design, and are not adapted to Uzbekistan soil and climatic conditions, and cannot provide even seed placement on the ridges.…”

“…Uniform seed spacing in the field creates favourable conditions for plant growth by improving the use of solar energy by the plants, promoting root development, enhancing water and nutrient uptake efficiency, and, above all, minimizing intraspecific competition. The resulting plants are not only taller, but they are also characterized by higher and more uniform yields (Fritzsch, 1983;Estler, 1985;Frederick and Marshall, 1985;Joseph et al, 1985;Ozturk et al, 2006;Valério et al, 2013;Ignaciuk and Zarajczyk, 2020).…”
