“…MCS and PCS were very poorly related with each other. These findings were as expected and similar to those found by previous studies that validated the SF−12v2 using Medical Expenditure Panel Survey data, albeit in different populations [16,18,19]. Thus, the questionnaire demonstrated sufficient convergent and discriminant ability.…”

“…To examine the construct validity, we considered the convergent and discriminant validity and carried out confirmatory factor analysis. We tested for convergent and discriminant validity against the PHQ−2 scores, Kessler Index scores, and questions on perceived health and perceived mental health from the same round as MCS/PCS, using the Spearman rank correlation coefficients [18]. Coefficients with values less than 0.3 were considered poor, from 0.3 to 0.5 were considered fair, greater than 0.5 (up to 0.8) were considered moderately strong, and greater than 0.8 were considered very strong [37].…”

“…SF-12v2’s brevity is an advantage in assessing older adults’ HRQoL in large-scale studies, resulting in less burden for respondents and researchers (7). SF-12v2 is a reliable, valid measure in a variety of population groups (6, 812), but information regarding its psychometric properties among older adults in China is still lacking. Two recent studies in Hong Kong have demonstrated validity and reliability for the general population and adolescents there (6, 13).…”

“…The current study finds that a substantial proportion of patients initiating SGLT2i metformin dual therapy are not at glycemic goal, which is consistent with data from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Surveys (NHANES), which reported that 22% of T2DM patients did not meet glycemic targets(ref) of HbA1C <8% 26 . Prolonged loss of glycemic control increases the risk of hospitalization, mortality, MACE 27,28 As patient's comorbidity burden increases it can lead to increased healthcare utilization and cost and worsen patient's quality of life [29][30][31][32] . Furthermore, patients should be made aware that adherence to prescribed medication is an important factor for improved outcomes and general wellbeing.…”
