Assessment of left ventricular systolic function by tissue Doppler imaging in controlled versus uncontrolled type 2 diabetic patients

“…4 The previous studies have also shown that the tissue Doppler derived systolic velocity at medial or lateral annulus of mitral valve can detect left ventricular dysfunction earlier than the conventional echocardiographic parameters like LVEF in different diseases.
