Sorokina et al [ 51 ] have reported 30-min EC 50 values for recombinant luminescent E. coli bacteria as 8.5 mg Fe 2+ /L and 1.3 mg Fe 3+ /L, i.e., quite similar to our data for V. fischeri (0.44 mg Fe 3+ /L) ( Table 2 ).
