Assessment of full field crystal plasticity finite element method for forming limit diagram prediction

Abstract: This study is inspired by the recent development of "virtual material testing laboratory" in which the main equipment is a full field crystal plasticity modeling tool. Ample examples have demonstrated its applications to sheet forming operations. In those applications, the mechanical anisotropy originated from the crystallographic texture can be adequately described, such as r-values and earing.
