AbstractIn the present study the relationship between social cognition and executive functions in nine children with oppositional defiant disorder (ODD) between 7 and 11 years of Medellin (Colombia) is explored. Executive functions were evaluated through the Continuous performance test, the Rey-Osterrieth Complex Figure Test, the Symbol Digit Substituting Test, the Wisconsin Card Sorting Test, the Trail Making Test, the Controlled Oral Word Association Test, the Memory curve and The Stroop Color and Word Test. The exploration of social cognition was made through The 'Reading the mind in the eyes' test revised version and Spanish adaptation of the Interpersonal Reactivity Index. Results highlighting the statistically significant relationship between theory of mind-learning and empathy-inhibitory control, organization/visuospatial planning, sequencing, phonological awareness, memory and executive strategies.
