Abstract:Accelerated partial breast irradiation (APBI) has been proposed as an alternative to whole breast radiotherapy in select patients undergoing post lumpectomy radiation therapy as part of a breast conserving approach. This comprehensive review attempts to assess the current literature and identify appropriate patients as well as supportive data.
